Great game Mar 03, 2010 It was a fun game. For $30 bucks brand new much better deal than anywhere else even ebay. You can easily get 50+ hours on this game and it also gives you some incentive to replay the story again for a second time.

Solid RPG Feb 05, 2010 Basically, this game is for fans of Tales of Symphonia from the Nintendo Gamecube.
Whilst "Vesperia" is not as good as "Symphonia", it still has its strong points.
The graphics are pretty cool, especially in the cutscenes where "Japanimation" style comes in to play. Enemies are detailed looking, especially bosses and the gameplay graphics are overall smooth throughout.
The battle system is mostly unchanged from the previous incarnation; a style which some love and some loathe. It is pretty simple and can get repetitive, but personally I think this just encourages you to mix up your attack styles and try playing as all the different characters.
The biggest draw to this series for many is the plot. Unfortunately Tales of Vesperia's plot is somewhat pointless and lacking. Bad guys have stolen a crystal so let's go get it back. Oh, something bigger is afoot. Oh, we met a princess. Then comes 10 hours of travelling and then the end, which i won't spoil but did feel a little underwhelmed after..
This game may not be for your average COD xbox player, but if you like RPGs then it's plenty long enough to give you a satisfied play through. And once you play through to the end, you can replay the game with certain attribute effects that are very cool such as x10 exp, x10 gold, keep all weapons you earned from your first play through etc which does give it some replayability. And try playing with a friend! (one who is very patient and doesn't mind only being active in battles, or trying to follow himself in the background whilst the camera pans P1.)
On a side note, my disc stopped working after about 5 hours of playing. I sent it back and received a replacement very quickly, which was awesome!
Overall, not as good as Tales of Symphonia but worth a look.
Gameplay: 7/10
Graphics: 7/10
Soundtrack: 6/10
Plot: 4/10

Very fun JRPG Jan 25, 2010 If you are a JRPG (Japanese style Role Playing Game), you owe it to yourself to play this game. The Tales series has always been a welcome addition to my RPG collection. I only wish more of them would be released in the United States.
Tales of Vesperia certainly does not disappoint. The game play is fun and challenging at times, and the story is interesting and has a few twists in it. The character design is excellent, and have personalities that are easy to relate to. You like the good guys, and hate the villains.
Overall, an Excellent game.

Great story and gameplay Dec 29, 2009 The tales games always tell a great story and Vesperia is no different. I got this game so my wife and I can play co-op and we are both enjoying it. I like the anime style graphics and the realtime battles.

One of the best RPG's I have ever played. Dec 29, 2009 While the game has an average story, it's still one worth hearing. Its characters are great, especially the main character. The length of the game is 40-60 hours, but that isn't including the second play through. If you love RPG's that allow you to make your characters into incredibly cheap fighters, then this game is for you.
