How do you get your team to say diamond, if you can't say baseball, ring, carats, jewel or engagement' You might say, "These are a girl's best friend. Hope is a huge one. The World Series is played here. Some are found in the rough." Get your team to say the secret word. Give suggestive sentences, funny phrases or even one word hints as clues. But don't use any of the words on the card. That's Taboo! Each time your team shouts out the secret word, you get a point. But be careful! Your opponents will be "looking over your shoulder" - making sure you don't say any of the Taboo words. If you do and they catch you, they sound the buzzer and score the point! It's unspeakable fun. Take our word for it! For 4 or more players. Game includes: 504 cards, card holder, buzzer, timer, score pad, and instructions. Requires 2 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included).

I've had Taboo for many years now and still can't get enough. It is a great game for a large or small group. I've played this game with as many as 25 people, it was uneven but still awesome! There is a hard and easy side. The word on top in the colored box is the word you want your teammate to say. The catch is you have to get them to say the word without saying any of the words listed below the word. This is when it gets fun, cause you know when someone tells you not to think about "this" you do what think about "this". So they take out the most obvious clues to get you to think quickly and creatively. With this quick thinking you have someone on the opposing team looking over your shoulder with a buzzer in their hand (with my friends that buzzer is usually in your ear) ready to go off if any of the Taboo words are said. You have a time limit of 60 seconds to get your teammate to say as many words as possible, without using any gestures, "sounds like", "begins with", or humming. It is a great game for young teens +.

I was very pleased when I received my used Taboo game. It cost me less than half of what I would have paid at Walmart even with the shipping costs. It is in excellent shape, too.

This is a good game for older kids. Lots of laughing. Easy to play and learn.
A game that is a quick set up and put away is always a winner in a busy house.

True itys outdated.
You cant use words that describe a person place or thing BUT when you are falling behind on points and your partner is terrible then Take advantage of the outdated cards. XD

I love this game and have been playing it for years. Everyone can play and its all about your own creativeness to win. I wish there sold new cards to update the content!
